Mme Caron Morton

Bonjour!
My name is Caron Morton. I’m a proud 2nd generation Floridian, and was even born in Palm Beach County. I went to undergrad school at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and French. Some years later, I went to Florida Atlantic University, where I received my Master of Curriculum and Instruction, specializing in French. I have taught five different French courses and four different levels of English at three different South Florida high schools.
I love teaching French! In 2010, my peers voted me the Palm Beach County World Language Teacher of the Year; a humbling experience for sure, considering the amazing teachers in Palm Beach County. I have also spent two summers as an AP Reader, which substantially changed how I approach the AP French exam. This year, I had one of the most rewarding experiences of my teaching career when I facilitated an exchange program with a school in Toulouse, France. Being able to watch my students learn “real life” lessons was an amazing opportunity that I hope to repeat.
I look forward to working with my students this year on activities such as National French Week, the Heritage Assembly, and the Haitian Heritage Club. Allez, Chargers!
