Tazeen Rashid

I have enjoyed teaching AP/IB Economics at Suncoast High School since 2006. As an IB student myself, I am passionate about the IB program and its long reaching impact on students. Engaging all students in the learning process is my constant aim in class. I love to see my students grow on the learning ladder and this gives me most joy as a teacher

I organize the financial literacy internship at the District Comptroller's Office every year for two weeks over the summer to give my students a practical experience in the real world.

I am one of the selected Teachers for Equity Fellows with Business Innovative Factory and with Ahimsa Center at CalPoly and have presented on this topic at two Universities.

I have a Masters degree in Social Policy from the London School of Economics and a Bachelors degree in Economics from Delhi University in India. I am the recipient of the Governor's Award for Teaching Economics and Financial Literacy from the Florida Council of Economic Education.

My IB experiences include being an IB examiner, workshop leader, site visitor, online facilitator and content developer.

My other responsibilities are coordinating the Extended Essay, sponsoring the Economics club and the Hands Across Campus club and organizing the Heritage Assembly.
